Time entries live at the project level. Each entry has:
- A date (when the work was done, not when you logged it)
- A duration (in minutes)
- An optional task (the entry is unattached if you skip)
- Notes (free text, default empty)
There's also a quick "Run a timer" mode that posts entries in real time as you work.
Where entries come from
- The time-tracking tab inside any project (manual entry or running timer).
- Calendar integrations (planned; not yet shipped).
- CSV import (planned).
For now, manual entry is the only source. Adding new entries is fast — type a duration, hit Enter, move to the next.
From time to invoice
Open the project's Time → Batch invoice action. Kiralytics:
- Picks all unbilled approved entries for the project.
- Sums per task, or per client rate (use rate in Settings).
- Drafts an invoice with the right line items.
- Allocates the next KLT-YYYYMM-NNNN number and saves the draft.
You can review, edit, then issue. Approved entries flip to billed so they don't end up on the next invoice.
