Beta status: the team plan isn't live yet. Today, Kiralytics is single-user — your account is your workspace, and there's no way to invite teammates. The Team card on Settings shows you as the only member with an "Invite teammate" button that surfaces a "coming soon" tooltip when hovered.
This page describes what's coming, so you know what to expect. It will be updated to reflect the shipped feature when invites go live.
Kiralytics will support multiple users in a single workspace. The most common pattern we're designing for: bring in an accountant at month-end, a virtual assistant for invoice ops, or a partner who needs read-only visibility.
Roles
| Role | Can | Cannot |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | everything | be demoted (only by transferring ownership) |
| Member | create/edit own data (clients, projects, invoices) | change workspace settings, invite others |
| Read-only | view everything | create or edit anything |
Roles are enforced server-side per request — there's no "broken permission" risk because the DB scoped query enforces isolation.
How invites will work
- Open Settings → Team.
- Enter the invitee's email.
- Pick a role.
- They'll get an email with an accept link.
If the invitee doesn't have a Kiralytics account yet, signing up with that email claims the seat automatically.
Beta grandfathering
Everyone who joins during private beta will get at least two free teammate seats when the team plan goes live. You'll keep this even after we start charging for additional seats.
What this means for you today
If you're the only person who needs access to your Kiralytics data, you don't need to do anything. If you want to collaborate with someone right now — say, share read-only access to your invoices — the only option today is to share your sign-in credentials, which we don't recommend. We're sorry about that. The team plan is the right fix.
Security notes
- All roles will see the same data — there's no concept of "my clients vs. their clients". Multi-user here means co-owner, not multi-tenant. If you need strict isolation between businesses, that's a different category of feature we don't currently support.
- Sessions are per-user, not per-workspace.
When you need more than roles
If you've grown past "an account and two helpers" into "a real organisation", talk to us. We've held off building true RBAC, multi-branch accounting, or per-user rates because none of our current users have asked. We don't want to over-build.
